A kitchen fitter who became a firm, and kept fitting
Quarrow started in 2011 as one fitter and a van. 15 years and 640 rooms later there are 11 fitters and tilers, three designers, two project managers and a showroom on Kilnrow Lane. The founder still sets out the tiling on the difficult ones.
We employ the people who fit
Our fitters and tilers are on the payroll, not a phone list. They are trained our way, they come back to fix anything under guarantee, and they are the reason 94% of jobs finish in the planned week.
We publish our prices
The estimator runs on our actual price list. We would rather you knew roughly what a room costs before a designer arrives than feel ambushed by a number at the kitchen table.
We give one number
After the survey you get one fixed price. It changes only if you change the plan, or if strip-out reveals something none of us could see, and then only with your written yes.
How a job runs
The same five stages for a cloakroom or a knock-through.
- Design visitWeek one
- A designer comes to you, measures up, checks the walls, the waste runs and the wiring, and listens. Free, about ninety minutes.
- Plan and fixed priceWithin ten days
- A 3D plan, samples in your hands at the showroom and one written price. We revise it until it is right; no deposit until you are sure.
- Ordering and prep5 – 11 weeks
- Units, stone and sanitaryware are ordered for one delivery date. Your project manager books every trade and sends you the week-by-week plan.
- On site2 – 4 weeks
- Strip-out, first fix, plastering, fitting, tiling, second fix. Dust sheets down every morning, a clean site every evening, a text update every Friday.
- HandoverFinal day
- We walk the room with you, fix anything on the snag list, and hand over the guarantees. The last 10% is only due once you are happy.
