A bathroom is small, but it is the room where a shortcut costs you most. Water finds every gap. So every bathroom we fit is taken back to bare walls and joists, and every surface that can get wet is tanked before a tile goes on.

A compact bathroom at Essential starts at £8,900 fitted, a medium room with a bath and separate shower is around £11,400, and a large room with a freestanding bath from £14,800. Moving the WC or swapping the bath and shower round adds £1,200.

Two to three weeks, with a working toilet

Strip-out and first fix take the first week, tiling the second. If yours is the only WC in the house, we reconnect it at the end of every working day.

Tiling is where you see the care

Our tilers set out every wall before they fix: cuts equal at both ends, no sliver beside the door, grout lines that meet the bath edge. It takes longer, and it is the difference you notice every morning.
